Rebecca Nguyen, MS, RYT
Helping people has always been at the heart of what I do. I realized early on that what I loved most was supporting people through changes. That passion led me to create Oasis Mind Lab, a space where psychology meets flow, and where people are supported in creating lives and careers that actually feel good to live in.
Currently, I practice as an applied psychology practitioner, bringing research-backed methods into my coaching and consulting. Rather than following a clinical path, I’ve chosen to focus on positive psychology, prevention psychology, and organizational well-being. I’ve always dreamed of being an industrial and organizational psychologist, and now I’m just a few months away from finishing my PhD. I believe in equipping people with tools and insight to navigate challenges and care for their mental and emotional health before it reaches a point of crisis. My approach blends science, trauma-informed care, and lived experience to help people move forward with clarity.

The Science Behind Flow State and Mindfulness at Work
The flow state, often referred to as “being in the zone,” is a psychological state of optimal experience where a person is fully immersed in an activity, feeling focused, energized, and completely absorbed in what they’re doing. This state has been shown to profoundly impact both high performance and a sense of calmness.
Mindfulness at work refers to the practice of applying mindfulness techniques and principles to the professional environment. It involves being fully present and attentive to the tasks, interactions, and experiences that unfold during the workday. Mindfulness at work is about cultivating a focused and non-judgmental awareness of one’s thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations, and surroundings, even in the midst of a busy and demanding work setting. This practice can have numerous benefits for both employees and organizations.
