My Background

Ever since I was a kid i was obsessed with all books but specifically trauma and  personal development books. My interest in this field began with my own healing journey and drove me to work towards my doctorate in Psychology with an emphasis on business psychology. I spent years working through my own complex trauma and tried top-down approaches like talk therapy, and that worked for a while, but I started yearning for more. I realized my body held more than my thoughts could explain. Somatic work helped me manage stress, ease tension, and break patterns that had lasted for years. Upon focus on somatic work, I felt weight lifted from my chest and a lot of my suppressed anger gone. This shift showed me how effective bottom-up work can be for real change.
Oasis Mind Lab grew out of these experiences. Prior to building my business, helping others has shaped my path. I found my calling in HR, meeting with people one-on-one. Supporting them through stress, conflict, and career decisions was very rewarding to me. That experience led me to the work I do now. I wanted to build a place where psychology supports daily life and people can learn practical, research-backed tools. Positive psychology, prevention, and organizational well-being gave me a clear sense of how I want to help. My own experiences allow me to support others with understanding. I study psychological safety, emotions, and how people cope when work is emotionally demanding. This path has deepened my commitment to helping people manage stress, understand their patterns, and move forward with confidence.
My work combines science, trauma awareness, and personal experience to help people build lives and careers that feel stable and lasting.

my journey

YEAR BY YEAR

2023

THE YEAR I STILL FELT STUCK

In 2023, I graduated from business school, got out of a long-term relationship, and began rethinking what I wanted for my life. Even though I loved my HR role and the people I worked with, I had been with the same company for more than a decade and felt ready for a new chapter. I enrolled in my PhD program with a clear intention to build a career in business psychology.

2024

THE YEAR THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

In 2024, I stepped away from my full-time HR manager position so I could focus on my PhD and reassess the path I wanted to take. I picked up different types of work including uber Eats, photography at Dave and Busters, anything that helped me stay afloat until I found my way back to supporting people. I knew I didn’t want to jump into another full-time job right away. When my home flooded and I had to move to a new city, I suddenly had to rebuild my life from the ground up. It was a disorienting season, but it became the catalyst for deeper clarity and a new beginning.

2025

A YEAR OF GROWTH

In 2025, I dedicated myself to finishing my PhD and diving into the heart of my dissertation. Alongside that, I immersed myself in life coaching courses, sex counseling training, and somatic work. It was a year of deep personal and professional reflection. I struggled with the tension between pursuing I/O psychology and offering one-on-one healing, until I finally realized those paths could exist together. As I started working with more clients, the vision for my future business became clearer. This is the year I laid the ground work for my business.

2026

THE FUTURE

2026 is the year I hope to graduate and expand into the next chapter of my business. With the groundwork already laid, I’m ready to grow, refine my offerings, and step fully into the work I feel called to do and hopefully, it will be the year we work together.
