Becca Nguyen, MS
Hi, I’m Becca. I’m so glad you’re here.
Helping people has always been at the heart of what I do. After more than a decade of working in human resources and team development, I realized that what I loved most was supporting people through change, growth, and transformation. That passion led me to create Oasis Mind Lab, a space where psychology meets flow, and where people are supported in creating lives and careers that actually feel good to live in.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Entrepreneurship in Applied Technology from the University of South Florida. I’m currently completing my PhD in General Psychology with an emphasis in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at Grand Canyon University. My research focuses on emotional well-being and psychological safety in remote work environments for small and medium-sized businesses; a space that is often overlooked, yet deeply in need of support and structure.
Becoming an Industrial and Organizational Psychologist has been a long-standing dream of mine. I’ve always been drawn to the intersection of work, well-being, and human behavior. My goal is to use this specialty not only to help people feel more aligned and fulfilled in their careers, but also to support organizations in creating cultures where people thrive.
I’ve also completed advanced trauma treatment training through the National Institute for the Clinical Application of Behavioral Medicine (NICABM), which deepened my understanding of how stress, overwhelm, and past experiences shape our capacity for success and connection. This trauma-aware lens is woven into every part of my work.
Alongside my education and training, one of the reasons I’m so committed to this work is because I’ve lived it. I was placed in foster care as a teenager and had to navigate instability, emotional healing, and major life transitions from a young age. I’ve struggled and worked with complex PTSD, earned my education while balancing real-life responsibilities, and made the decision to leave a job I had for over 12 years in order to build something more aligned with who I am today. I understand what it feels like to be stuck and want to help others move forward in their lives too.
I’m also pursuing certification as a Board Certified Coach and sex counselor to support the full human experience; professionally, emotionally, and relationally.
Rather than following a clinical path, I’ve chosen to focus on positive psychology, prevention psychology, and organizational well-being. I believe in equipping people with the tools and insight they need to navigate challenges and care for their mental and emotional health before it reaches a point of crisis. My approach blends science, trauma-informed care, and lived experience to help you move forward with clarity and momentum.
Whether you are navigating burnout, building a purpose-led business, redefining your relationship with work or sex, or simply reconnecting with yourself, I am here to support you.
Together, we’ll create pathways for healing, growth, and meaningful success in both work and life.

The Science Behind Flow State and Mindfulness at Work
The flow state, often referred to as “being in the zone,” is a psychological state of optimal experience where a person is fully immersed in an activity, feeling focused, energized, and completely absorbed in what they’re doing. This state has been shown to profoundly impact both high performance and a sense of calmness.
Mindfulness at work refers to the practice of applying mindfulness techniques and principles to the professional environment. It involves being fully present and attentive to the tasks, interactions, and experiences that unfold during the workday. Mindfulness at work is about cultivating a focused and non-judgmental awareness of one’s thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations, and surroundings, even in the midst of a busy and demanding work setting. This practice can have numerous benefits for both employees and organizations.
